It’s official! Steven has a new TV show: The Primal Grlll, launching on PBS in May, 2008. Steven just spent the last two weeks taping on location at the historic Tubac Golf Resort in southern Arizona. Here Steven gets a lesson in operating a hand-held video camera. (It’s a LOT harder than it looks.)



So what’s new about the show? Just about everything. New dishes, like Chinese five spice beef ribs and ginger lime lobster tails. Sizzling new grills, from state-of-the-art infrared grills to ceramic kamado cookers, wood-burning grills, and industrial-strength smokers. A new production team headed by Emmy-award-winning producer Matt Cohen (third from the left in the purple shirt and jeans) of Resolutions Productions. And a stunning new location: the Tubac Golf and Resort in Tucson, Arizona, immortalized in the movie Tin Cup with Kevin Costner.


So what’s on the menu? Here Steven gets ready to prepare a traditional Mexican barbacoa–leg of lamb smoke-roasted in banana leaves. Stay tuned!
