ThermoWorks will host a cooking competition between a few local barbecue teams, with Steven Raichlen as a judge. The public is invited to taste some of the competing food, and meet the author of Project Smoke.
Steven Raichlen will introduce his new cookbook, Project Smoke, at the King’s English Bookshop in Salt Lake City. After his brief talk, you’ll have the opportunity to get your book signed. Local food truck Captain Len’s BBQ will be on-site during the event and will serve at least one of the recipes from Project Smoke, along with his usual BBQ and sides offerings, which will be available for sale.
Steven will sign copies of Project Smoke at Changing Hands Bookstore in Phoenix. The signing will be followed by a special dinner at Southern Rail Restaurant (tickets required) with a three-course BBQ meal prepared by Chef Justin Beckett, inspired by the bold flavors and expert techniques from Project Smoke, plus an intimate dinner discussion on smoking, BBQ, and everything grilling.
