My son & I took my wife to a dinner theatre "who dunit" for Mother's Day !
This afternoon put on a rack BB ribs while she visited her mom in the nursing home.
Mustard , & gunpowder spice.
Small indirect fire with a pecan chunk, added a little fuel every hour or beer , whichever came first
Listening to the four seasons & playing fetch with Lucy !
Great way to spend a beautiful afternoon!

Looking good so far, lostarrow! Any pics of the finished product?

I also noticed that you're using a grill basket for your charcoal. How does that work for you? Any airflow problems?
Unlike propane, you'll never wake up scorched and naked in another county because you mishandled a bag of briquettes.

Looks good so far. What's the gunpowder spice? At first I thought you might mean Suckle Busters Texas Gunpowder, but that's pure ground jalapeno powder. Think that would be a bit strong.
