food service equipment, just a few bucks, all stainless steel, lots of small vent holes, should work with sawdust too. many different sizes, the burn time on this one is 2hrs and a heavy smoke.

Considering that a lot of cold-smoked foods don't need a terribly long time to smoke, that's a dandy idea.
Unlike propane, you'll never wake up scorched and naked in another county because you mishandled a bag of briquettes.

got this from the cafe in the hospital where i work for $5, ive searched for them on the net under food service equipment but didnt find anything, even tho ive got one of those $38 pellet burners i knew id find something sutable that would work.

I would love to find one of those (especially for $5) for smoked eggs, cold smoked salmon, cheeses. Do you know exactly what it was called? That might help us locate one easier.

ive tried a few times myself but no luck, but it would most likely be under food service equipment.

i work this weekend so ill ask them
