This cooler weather made me want to bust out my dutch oven last night in the backyard. A colleague of mine shipped me a box of apples from an orchard near his house in upstate New York and what better use of them before they go bad than to make a cobbler.

It's always good to have friends who can supply fresh ingredients that can't be found locally.
