recipe questions

I've enjoyed the recipes in Barbecue Bible: Sauces Rubs and Marinades but I have a question about two of them. The Irish Whisky glaze includes soy sauce in its list of ingredients in two places. Once as 1/4 cup and once as 3 tablespoons. The instructions say combine all ingredients and simmer. Is something missing from the recipe or is the total soy sauce really 1/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons? Also the recipe for Korean Honey-Sesame Marinade does not include honey. Should honey be added?
