Ate at the 17th Street in Marion, IL. last Saturday. Had the slab of baby back ribs with beans and fries as my sides. Ribs and beans were good - wouldn't expect anything else out of a Mike Mills place. Disappointed in the fries but that was minor.
Wife had the pulled chicken with beans and slaw. She always orders pulled chicken at barbecue places - don't know why - she's never really happy with it. Always says mine is better. Going to have to remind her the next time.
Real highlight was the fresh made cracklins. Still popping when brought to the table. Huge dinner plate size portion sprinkled with Magic Dust. They were even good when I popped leftovers in the microwave at the hotel later that night to have as a midnight snack.
