Went to Stubbs the other day since it was in walking distance from my hotel. Pretty good, but I like the brisket from my backyard better. Definitely still better than any brisket I've had from restaurants in SC. :)

The brisket at Stubbs is smoked with Post Oak, according to the waiter with whom I spoke. It was a little heavy for my taste, but it wasn't terrible.

The brisket definitely had a great smoke ring... But it was falling apart and a tad dry... Their sauce was good though and it helped with the dry factor.

Hopefully I'll get to try out Franklins tomorrow. And sorry for the big pix....using my phone this week. :?

Get to Franklin's early because the line forms fast...

Was Stubb's (as an aside, Stubb himself passed away 15 or so years ago) brisket all from the flat or was some point mixed in?

It appeared to be all from the Flat. I had a small break from classes this morning, so I'm currently 2nd in line. ;)
