This is a recipe we did at BBQ U, but I haven't been able to do it at home because I couldn't find sugarcane sticks at the grocery or at our Asian markets, and I couldn't find shrimp that were big enough. So, I ordered some sugarcane sticks online and a friend brought some fresh shrimp back from the gulf. I've been waiting to do this proper for four months, and it was worth it.

Add a few brats with grilled onions & peppers and we had some pretty good Thursday Night Football food...

There was a simple marinade and an easy-to-make rum glaze. Very similar to this Raichlen recipe:
