I was wanting a really accurate thermometer for my upright smoker (Weber Smokey Mountain). I probably would want the stem to be 4 or 5 inches. I am going to just let it hang down in the vent hole. I have also seen some with some sort of clip device. I was looking for one that is known to be very accurate or at least one that could be calibrated using the boiling water method.
Which one would you guys suggest.
Many thanks in advance! |

I have a Taylor Weekend Warrior (Lowe's) and have a Maverick ET-73 on order, The ET-73 is remote and reads both heat temperature. reads up to 1-- feet from grill- straight line, can be modified to read farther away.
You can find it on Amazon.com _________________ Chargriller Duo w/SFB;

| I use a candy thermometer that I picked up at Bed Bath & Beyond. It clips on to the vent adjuster. |
