A rectangular heavy-duty disposable aluminum foil pan that’s indispensible for barbecuing and grilling. A drip (or catch) pan is placed beneath the food to catch dripping fat during grilling. On gas grills the catch pan or grease pan takes the place of the drip pan. It’s positioned under the firebox. Empty it after the grill has cooled off.
Place it between the mounds of coals under the grate for indirect grilling. Use it for marinating raw meats or transferring cooked meats to the cutting board (obviously not the same pan). Also convenient for shredding and serving pulled pork. You can find foil drip pans in nested packs of two or three at the supermarket.
