Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Mezcalini

We’re very eager for our favorite neighborhood Mexican restaurants to reopen. We’d even settle for a taco truck. But in the meantime, we’re happy to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a homemade Mexican feast accompanied by—dare we say it?—a couple of Coronas.

Or maybe we’ll kick off the evening by mixing up a pitcher of Mezcalinis—a cross between a margarita and a mojito—a beguiling beverage Steven discovered on one of his many trips to Mexico. Homemade chips and smoky salsa or some hot-off-the-grill poppers will do nicely as an appetizer. Or maybe will go with the spicy shrimp with chipotle cocktail sauce. See the video here.
