When the sun rose over Santa Monica last week, Steven Raichlen gave CNN reporter Sibila Vargas a quick overview of the American barbecue trail. The menu? Chili rubbed grilled shrimp cocktail. Beer can chicken. Cilantro grilled corn. Garlic grilled tomatoes. And grilled pineapple for dessert.
