Lemon Tartar Sauce
Recipe Notes
- Yield: Makes 1 1/4 cups
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise, preferably Hellmann’s
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon drained brined capers
- 1 tablespoon chopped pickles, preferably French cornichons
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Recipe Steps
1: Combine the mayonnaise, mustard, jalapeno, capers, pickles, and chives. Add the lemon zest and juice. Whisk in salt and pepper to taste: the tartar sauce should be highly seasoned. Cover and refrigerate if not using immediately.
