Rum Raisin Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dark rum
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark—it doesn’t matter)

Recipe Steps

Step 1: Combine the raisins and rum in a bowl and let soak for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Melt the butter in a small saucepan and stir in the brown sugar. Bring to a boil, whisking until smooth. Add the rum and raisins and boil until thick. Let cool slightly before serving with the ice cream.

Serve over Smoked Ice Cream.
