Recipe Steps

1: Paint the brisket on all sides with the mustard and generously season with Planet Barbecue brisket rub.

2: Meanwhile, set up your smoker following the manufacturer’s instructions and heat to 225 degrees, adding wood chunks or chips to generate wood smoke.

3: Smoke the brisket to an internal temperature of 160 degrees. Wrap it in butcher paper and continue smoking to an internal temperature of 205 degrees. Transfer the brisket to an insulated cooler and let rest for 1 to 2 hours.

4: Just before serving, sprinkle the meat with additional Brisket Rub. Slice and serve and get ready for brisket so awesome, it should be eaten kneeling, with once’s head bared.
