Recipe Notes

  • Yield: Makes about 4 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pork Stock
  • 5 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons BBQ Rub
  • 1 ½ cups ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Recipe Steps

1: Combine all the ingredients in a large nonreactive saucepan and bring to a simmer over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-high and cook, stirring frequently to prevent scorching, until the sauce has reduced by half, about 30 minutes.

2: Ladle the sauce into two clean 1-pint canning jars. Cool to room temperature, then wipe the rims and threads clean, place the lids and rings on the jars, tighten the rings, and refrigerate. Tightly sealed, the sauce will keep for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
