Lemon-Dill Sauce

  • Yield: Makes about 1 cup

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons brown sugar (optional)

Step 1: Place the sour cream, mayonnaise, mustard, dill, and lemon zest in a mixing bowl and whisk to mix. Add salt and pepper to taste: the sauce should be highly seasoned. For a sweeter sauce, whisk in the brown sugar.

Step 2: Cover and chill until ready to serve.
